The Whau Pasifika Trust is made up of a voluntary Trust Board of 6 members and a single part-time paid Director.
We are a Komiti of passionate people who are committed to representing all Pasifika Peoples in our local Whau area of West Auckland, Tamaki Makaurau.
Our current members are a mix of Tuvalu, Niue, Tonga and Samoan members. (We invite expressions of interest from our non-represented Pacific Islands on an on-going basis). We also represent a range of ages, life experiences and public and community sectors.

STORY
The Whau Pacific Peoples Plan was established to assist the local board with improving inclusion and support for the Whau Pacific residents, it launched in June 2019.
On Wednesday October 10th 2019, the Pacific community met to support and endorse the establishment of the Whau Pasifika Komiti, to lead the implementation of the plan.
The Whau Pasifika Komiti which consisted of eleven members held its first meeting on Wednesday 23rd of October 2019. At its second meeting on Tuesday the 29th of October 2019, the komiti elected the offices of Chair, co-secretaries and Treasurer.
Today, the Whau Pasifika Trust is a registered Charitable Trust that provides wide-ranging support to enable meaningful engagement amongst local whānau, schools, government agencies, organisations, business, and Pacific Peoples living and working in the Whau Local Board areas of Avondale, Blockhouse Bay, Kelston, Glenavon, Green Bay, New Lynn and New Windsor.
We are seeking new Komiti Members, particularly Pasifika locals with Financial, Governance or HR experience.
